Category: The 1% Book Shelf

Most business and tech books are 20 percent signal, 80 percent padding. The 1% Book Shelf is where I track the one or two ideas from each book that actually changed how I work — or the ones that looked promising and didn’t survive contact with real systems.

Every entry is a short review: what the book argues, what held up against thirty years of running infrastructure, what didn’t, and the single takeaway worth stealing. No summaries, no affiliate links, no five-star theatre. If a book only gives me one usable idea, that’s still a good book — and that one percent is what ends up here.
